Crockpot Chili with Turmeric Essential Oil
A good bowl of homemade chili is the perfect dinner on a cold, rainy night. As a mom, anything in the crockpot is a winner in my book. My family absolutely loves it, and I love to give it a little extra love and health benefits with a couple drops of Turmeric essential oil. Let’s get cooking!
Ingredients:
-2 1/2 lbs grass fed ground beef
-1 small yellow onion, chopped
-1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
-1 1/2 cups beef broth (I love Kettle & Fire)
-2 tablespoons tomato paste
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 bay leaf
-2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
-3 teaspoons salt (Redmond salt is my favorite)
-2 teaspoons cumin powder
-1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-2 drops doTERRA Turmeric essential oil
-1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-2 cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Place all ingredients in the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours. We love to serve ours with shredded cheddar, sour cream, & avocado.
